The original Oyster…

There was a time when the early Bubbleback watches were the hottest Rolex watches on the planet, with collectors paying huge sums for these small, yet perfectly formed watches. Over the last couple of years interest has finally returned to these mighty yet diminutive Oysters.

The example we are offering today remains in outstanding condition with a strong steel case with characteristic domed case back. This watch has a nice twist in that it is fitted with a smooth rose gold bezel and matching winding crown. The dial is totally original and is designated CHRONOMETER and has applied Arabic numerals. The dagger hands have luminous material but the dial does not. The watch is fitted with a beautiful stretch Oyster rivet bracelet with straight endlinks and a clasp stamped “2 68”. The movement has been fully checked and regulated by our watchmaker.
